Mira Woodworth

Mira’s glass has been accepted into local and national juried shows. Most recently, she won an award at the California State Fair with “Hostage Taker’ a sculpture narrative about mass media. Mira’s work is internationally represented by International Art Source, Art Source LA, and ArtfulHome.com. Her work has been included in group and solo shows at Carlyn Galerie, Chartreuse Muse, Gallery M and the Grand Theater and the LH Horton Gallery at San Joaquin Delta College.

Mira is one of 40 artists chosen by a juror to be featured in the upcoming book “Sculpture and Design in Recycled Glass” by Cindy Ann Coldiron. The book is considered a comprehensive design source in reclaimed glass work in architecture and design and will be released in October, 2011.

Mira lives with her artist husband, Ken, in the Central Valley of California. They share Woodworth Art Studio. They can be found at www.WoodworthArt.com.

Working with reclaimed glass is all about second chances. The glass is found, or donated, in a dilapidated state. I breathe new life into the material, and a universal wish is granted: another chance at a new life. Who hasn’t prayed for a second chance?
